Been posting too much today/tonight.Dumb question, well I think it probably is.Can I remove and delete the catalytic converter on my car? By this I mean taking it off and punching out all the insides and putting it back on using the cat pipe instead of buying exhaust piping. Is it safe to do this, or is it a terrible idea?
Re: Catalytic converter question.Just be sure that your state doesn't have emissions requirements. 83 car can be registered as "historic" and there are no inspection OR emissions requirements.

More competetive if you know what I mean. When you take off the motor has a nice throaty sound to it, and at higher revs it lets you know its there and paying attention. Response seems better too., 2014 at 3:02pmI have knocked out a cat on a 1995 Honda Civic Delsol VTEC and I'm fine, or am I? lol, 2014 at 4:33pm, 2014 at 7:20pm, 2014 at 8:24pm, 2014 at 8:46pmTrue, but in the case of a 944 we are dealing with 20 to 30 year old cat technology which offered greater back pressure.Jan 13, 2014 at 5:47pmDigital36Jan 14, 2014 at 1:39amBut...Is a 30 year cat even doing anything anymore?
